Today is the eleventh day of Christmas, January 4, 2010.

Before the Christmas season ends, I would like to talk about Love.

During the twelve days of Christmas, the true love gave many gifts to his beloved, and he gave them in exponential abundance.

Let me tell you about my True Love and his endless gifts.

My True Love, also known as “The Best Husband” patiently accompanies me to events, demonstrations, and fairs. He drives for long distances, hauls around crates, exhibits, and cases, and willingly sets up tables and tents. He accompanies me to Hobby Lobby and other stores for stash replenishment and to feed the voracious Tatting habit.

He helps me prepare educational materials and assists when I am teaching, sometimes providing supplemental instruction, even though he does not tat . . .yet! He makes sure my students have plenty of chocolate, surely the best of men.

TBH stays with me for hours on end while I carry on with my Tatting obsession. He generously gives me much support. I am a fortunate woman. I truly love my True Love. He is certainly The Best Husband.

Do you have someone who supports your Tatting obsession? How does this person provide encouragement?

Hmmm, I'm jealous! I have my Online friends who support me. My OH and my mother think my tatting is interesting, but nothing to get all excited about. I tat because I have to! Whether anyone else near me appreciates what I do or not. :walklikeanegyptian:

My husband was a wonderful man. He used to encourage me to make the things I see in my head as he did those he saw in his. No he didn't do tatting but other things. We would make stuff together & encourage each other in what ever we decided to do. Yes, he used to encourage me with my tatting too. But even though he's passed away, I still do my tatting & other stuff that we used to do together. I still make it all with the love as before. I know he's smiling down on me & happy with what I do. He was my true love & always will be. Now I have our family to tend to & they keep things lively. But we all still love my husband very much. Now I have little ones asking," what are you doing?" So I tell them," Tatting." & off they go only to come back & ask again a few seconds later. It's a game but they like to see the finished things. I just love that game. But they know not to touch it until it's done. Then they will look at it closely & smile.
