Okay, I have a reputation for not writing down patterns unless asked for them. I just refer to pictures. Anyway, I just designed this cameo pendant, someone asked for the pattern. I used Victorian Sets for the the center ring, but I have no idea how to notate them. I used 10 of the 1st half & 10 of the 2nd half of the ds, picot and repeated for 8 sets I guess. So how do i write that so someone will understand it?

I think you were pretty clear in your description of it, but I suppose you could notate it like 8 Victorian Sets: 8 (10 first half ds, 10 second half ds picot). Hope I was helpful.

I agree with artikaur, that sounds like a good way to write it down, plus you could give a good close-up digital photo.

Simply gorgeous! I like the idea of what is in the (..) as I wouldn't know what a Victorian Set was if it came up and introduced itself.

Thanks so much all...I just didn't want to further confuse anyone and the parentheses seems clear enough!

You should include an x as this: 8x(10 first half ds, 10 second half ds picot) as parenthesis also sometimes are used for floating rings (mainly on SCMR)
