Ok Aussie tatters.
Vicki at Crochet Australia caved and got in Lizbeth in size 20 to see how it would go.

unfortunately due to poor sales she is thinking of discontinuing this line.

So.....if you want her to stock it and possibly some 40 later on - start spreading the word or we may lose our chances.

Order is online and/or by phone. Service is quick and impeccable and although she has a limited color range left there area a few nice variegated there at $5.60 a ball.

Australia is much nearer to Malaysia compared to US or UK. By that logic, I suppose shipping cost may be cheaper. ... hmmm... I have to do some calculations first, :)
But, I am more inclined towards size 40 thread now compared to size 20.

So am I Jon. Especially since I got this brilliant new book from someone in Malaysia?????? (Thank you - it arrived safely).

Perhaps if we get around to putting in a big order we can include some 40?

I asked for some of the new colours and a cone of Lizbeth but sadly she had none so I had to order from US. She needs to advertise that she has it and stock the newer beautiful range don't you think. I would much rather support an Aussie business ( sorry you OS guys and gals)

The colors I got from Vicki while I was there were:
112 - Carousel
109 - Wild Flower
124 Spring Garden
129 - Purple Splendor
115 - Springtime

There were solids to match but only in size 20.

The thing is - if she cannot sell what she has or has little interest there is no incentive for her to go ahead and order others or stock different sizes. Bit of a catch 22 unfortunately.

Jon - and everyone else! - I've just had an email from Vicki at Crochet Australia, telling me that since our visit to her on Friday, she has spoken to Barbara Foster, and that from the end of next month, she will have every single colour in stock, in both size 20 AND 40!!

Their service is incredible - I once ordered something at 3. 30 pm, and it was on my doorstep by 7.30 the next morning.

Spread the word, we need to support this retailer and make sure that we in Australia can have access to this beautiful thread too!

If we do not support Vicki in her endeavours to help US get Lizbeth then she will discontinue it. We all fought hard to get it here - now Aussie tatters need to help keep it that way.

I purchased some 20 thread from Vicki when I visited Melaney in April
I have used both the 20 and 40 thread and I prefer the 40 also there are different colours.
If you receive the Crochet newsletter it is advertised there

I have just heard from Crochet Australia that they now have size 40 in stock! - so, littlebev, you can get it locally! Vicki also said she will be happy to order size 80 when it eventually is available, but on an ad-hoc basis - you would put in your order and then she will include it the next time she is buying threads.
The first 75 colours of 40 are on the shelves, and the rest will be there soon. I'm going to be choosing my colours this weekend.
