This time I basically remade the small flower pendant video I did a year ago to complement the tutorial I did on Instructables complete with spoken instruction.

Great video! I will send the link to my needle tatting students. Thank you!
Keep'em coming, Pamela. There are so many good vids on youtube for shuttle tatting - it's about time we have good quality needle tatting vids as well. I'm delighted that you are stepping up to the plate on this. I love watching you work. Your hands are poetry in motion.

I love your video, I have been truly enlightened. I have always wondered why my josephine chains never had the the twist to it. Now I do! Thank you.

Bravo! And thank you for the great insight I now have. As far as needle tatting goes, I am just an egg.

This is just what I needed to get me needle tatting, I had frogotten what my friend mary had told me. It always ended up unravelling ;-( Now to watch again with needle and thread at the ready.

Not a total success ( me, not the excellent video ) , my starting thread was too short and made threading through difficult and I made my chains 5ds not 6ds oops.

Nicely done... I shuttle tat primarily but have set a goal to pick up needles again. The videos are so very helpful
So, Josie, what happened? Did it go straight instead of curve around? Did it curve around the wrong way? No oops, just a chance to learn the difference onr ds can make.

My first oops attempt ( now filed in the bin ) was only three petals and two chains as I did not have enough thread to go through another petal, I am now going to try some other easy patterns to really get the hang of it because I would like to use some different types of thread and someone said they could be needletatted.

Awesome video! As someone who is just learning to tat, I find it so much easier to watch and learn the steps, instead of trying to figure out written instructions. Will subscribe to your youtube channel when I'm at my own computer. :)

great video, easy to understand. I might give needle tatting a try again.... but afraid I would impale my finger on the end of the needle.
Thanks for sharing your talent.

Thank you so much for this video! I see the things I missed when I took my class--maybe I can get this down after all...

My daughter ran off with my needle... Thought I'd find it in the move but no luck... Time to buy another one. I had just started to learn needle-and when it got lost I went back to what I know best.

great video but I still crack up over the audio. My Bad. For some reason I still think you should have a different accent. I guess for so long I saw pictures of you or read your written word with no sound and I must have subconsciously gifted you with a sultry 'dark' voice probably with an Australian accent. Afterall us Australians have the sexiest voices on the planet dont we ? So it's always a surprise to hear the " real " you.
And before anyone jumps on my back and reads things that arent there. Yes I think your voice is perfect for you and very nice and normal for 8 zillion Americans :)
Gasp! There are 8 zillion of us? Who knew! hehehe
I get an equal shock when seeing someone's photo for the first time. Odd, how one assumes physical attributes based solely on language usage. Makes me wonder, not for the first time, how someone blind from birth must conceptualize what they hear and feel. Sorry, that's me chasing rabbits again. Going back to my shuttles now, and I promise to stay quiet for a few minutes.
