Hi All,
Just wondering about the differences in the size 9 tatting needle. The one that I ordered from Lacis is the same length as my other tatting needles, and its eye is incredibly tiny. I have noticed that some needle tatters talk about their size 9 tatting needle being short. Are there two types of size 9 tatting needles?

I don't know about the lenght of the size #9, but it is meant for size 100 or smaller thread.

Hi Carolivy,
Thanks for getting back to me. I guess that now all I have to do is to find some size 100 or smaller thread! :-D

A lot of quilting and sewing threads are that small. DMC Cordonnet is available in that size, but I think it only comes in white. I really like the Mettler 100% cotton quilting thread and it is available in many sewing centers. I would check your local sewing center's display of their best threads. The nice thing about these threads is that they come in LOTS of colors! I would look for 100% cotton.
