Following on from the cotton I won in Artikaur's giveaway, as promised, I have finished some items using it...
7524 I did a bracelet and a couple of pendants/motifs.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a true representation of the colour of the cotton, but if you imagine the pix in a richer, deeper, regal blue you may get a better idea.

It is the first time of working with a smaller thread (it is a DMC Perle 8 Col 823), I normally use size 10 so this was a learning curve for me. The reason being it highlights all my mistakes! It has made me correct my sloppy methods, some of which I didn't even realise were mistakes until I looked at the result.

Goodness knows when I will have the confidence to go down another size - I think I will live in ignorance to anything else I do wrong until I am ready.

However, now that I have dipped my toe in showing my items, I have got my camera out and hope to be putting more projects in my album soon. Have a look at some point ...

Lovely work! Congratulations on daring go smaller, the bracelet looks just great!

And I am glad we will be seeing more of your work too.

Vwry nice. I think black in one of the hardest colors to tat or crochet with. Really like your 'rose'.

Nicely done. I find that the larger threads show my mistakes more clearly than the smaller ones. But larger thread is easier to correct.

Thank you everyone for your comments.

Lynn, I find the opposite with size 10 thread. The bulkiness of the thread tends to hide my mistakes but the smaller threads seem to just highlight them because the outline is so clear. I guess it is probably down to the type of mistakes made. I have obviously got too comfortable and become a bit lazy to detail which hopefully I have started to put right...maybe.

BTW - more pix of some projects I have completed since May are now loaded into my Album.

I have been shy in coming forward with pix but hopefully I have got over that hiccup now.
