View Full Version : Finished project
Back in May I made this thread (http://www.intatters.com/showthread.php?2030-Twisted-Threads-a-Tatting-Saga&highlight=saga) explaining the setbacks I had experienced in tatting a Cheval Runner that I found in an Anchor book. Quite a few other tatted projects and a good bit of life got in the way after that thread was posted, but the runner is finally done. I re-engineered the pattern, and will post it as soon as I can. This completes all the tatting that I set myself to get done for Christmas gifts. I now have no projects waiting for me, and I therefore have plenty of time to devote to my ongoing education classes, which begin Thursday or Friday. So, I finished just in time. Now I can give up having a life for a few months so that I can get these classes behind me. This means I am going to become MIA as of now. I will check in from to time to time just to see what's going on, but I probably won't make many (any) contributions for a while. Y'all are not forgotten. I'll be back.

That's a great work, Lynn! Congratulations to you and the happy recipient too, that is a very special Xmas gift indeed.
Thanks for letting us know why you'll be scarce here, as you *will* be missed, and best of luck in your classes, hope you learn a lot and enjoy your time there!

I remember your hunt for that pattern! - you are amazing, planning Christmas presents so far in advance. I seem to wait until this time of the year to begin thinking about it, and then, of course, at the rate that I tat, it's far too late to do anything about it.
Actually, there IS a Santa Claus crochet runner I have been thinking of making, for the edification of my two-year-old-twin grandchildren when they come here on Christmas Day - I could possibly CROCHET that in time - if I begin at once!
The runner is absolutely gorgeous, the recipient is very lucky!

Sorry, I put this information in my album. Didn't think to put it here. The thread is DMC Cebelia size 20 thread. I used almost two 25g balls. The finished size is 65 cm long and 35 cm wide. That's about 26"x14".
Thank you all for your nice comments. The pattern is still coming. I asked a friend to take a look at it for me and am still waiting for her to get back to me. Don't want to confuse anyone.
