My aunt found these and has no idea what they are. I'm hoping that someone else does I'm providing multiple pictures to help identify it.

Shoot, I did forget to provide a size comparison, didn't I. Whoops. Um, the view above, I could place it atop a spool of thread, not the small size, the usual size you'd buy to do a project instead of repairs.

It looks like a button. Some weird shaped buttons are used for things like leather coats that don't have the same give as a cloth coat does. The pointy end may just be a spacer so that the button isn't sewn on too tight to the leather. It leaves room to button the coat up without stretching out the leather.
