I have now finished my new hyacynth design and I am contemplating producing a new book of flowers - flowers from bulbs.

If you have a favourite, let me know and I will try to design a pattern for it and include it in the new book.

Nice Hyacynths! For some reason I just realized that making small fowers might help the fundraisning for the local Bothanic Garden (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arctic-alpine_botanic_garden). The first Saxifragae (http://hagevenner.blogspot.com/) have flowers now and as soon as the snow is gone there will be lots of more. I don't think thay have Hyasynths but they have a bulb collection (http://uit.no/botanisk/samlingen/8).

But I guess the best "seller" for the Garden would be blue poppies (http://uit.no/getfile.php?PageId=2568&FileId=7). Do you by any chance have a 3D poppy pattern?

Beautiful garden....how I wish I could travel! Thank you for sharing, it's nice to see the sites from my own bedroom. LOL hugs, Bev

Hi Anne,
Yes, I do have a pattern for the poppy, it is in my first book From Petals to Pearls. (http://www.howiedee.plus.com/index_files/page0004.htm)

Wow! So cute!!! Bulbs are not a lot in PR because of the tropical weather but I love hyacinths and tulips.

Oooh, Kersti, I had completely forgotten that freesias were from bulbs! That is one that I shall have to look into! Thanks for the idea!!!

Toni Storer has a wonderful Flanders Poppy in her Tatting Down the Garden Path book. In 3D.

LOL I once took a tiny Bluebell to a Guild meeting and challenged her to tat it. By the end of the session she presented me with a perfect replica in tatting!!!!!

Why do I get the feeling there is yet another book I'll need?
