I have new shuttles from the shuttle shop and I am totally happy! I haven't tried them yet, but I am surprised how they are strong (I was afraid it will be impossible working with them) and how they are beautiful! They are much more nicer then on the photo...

Oh Wow! Lucky you! They are beautiful!!

Can you give me the info for where to get one? I have tried before to find them on the internet and have had difficulties. Thanks!

On the The shuttle shop forum once was thread about their shuttles, I copied it for my friends here: http://pieskovisko.sk/~jarka/TSS.html (thread is visible only for registered users and my friends aren't registered there). So select what you want and write to Erin - on their forum, or send email. She will say you actual offer of woods, you will say if you want point or not and so on.. Sadly it isn't totally easy, I think they should have eshop with such great shuttles ;-(

They used to have an online shop, but it's been closed for about a year now; the Forum has all the details about the shuttles. I hadn't seen the dragon one before, isn't it fun! I love Shuttleshop Shuttles because they are so easy to use, and the right shape for my hand.

Chris & Erin, the makers of this shuttles, run The Tatting Forums at http://www.tattingforums.com/forums/.

They make some amazing shuttles indeed! I wish I could afford one.

Oh my GOD they're beautiful. I wish I could buy such shuttles. I have plastic clover ones, but then again, I'm a beginner, so I guess I should make do with these.

I made do with plastic for the first 50 years of tatting. Then I found tatters on line and I now have three David Reed Smith and a number of his pretty wooden handled hooks. etc. Now look, jam, you can only use one shuttle at a time and since none of your relatives tat or would be interested in acquiring any of yours_______my son is great at bond fires!! I'm afraid that's where mine will end up so I best not collect anymore. Next year I turn 75. After seeing how beautiful lilac wood is_____yes the common purple spring flower_____I would sure be tempted to have one in lilac wood if I saw someone was making them!! It can have beautiful streaks of lavender in the grain. Since I grew up with a terrific lilac [about 15 feet across and the same in height] by the back door on the farm it would be more for sentimental reasons than for use. But for me it would be a true joy to hold in my hand.
