Lookey-look, I made it with my own hands and very proud  It is almost finished but need to be lacquered and will need help with this part, since not good with chemicals.
It is made of modelling paste (not sure if it is right translation to English) and coloured with thread-dyeing paint (it worked surprisingly good))). Length is 8 cm, height and width is 3,5 cm. Can't try tatting yet, but couldn't wait to boast a little bit

It must smell nice! - cats will always thoroughly investigate anything new. You're very clever to make your own shuttle, I hope it works well when you're able to try it out.

Well the cat seems to approve of your shuttle, well done for making your own and I hope it works well.

Looks very pretty! Let us see it again when you get it finished and start tatting with it.

It does look pretty! I hope it is useful too. I tried once to use that modelling paste to make one, but the result was utterly forgettable!

Thanks to all of you! I will definitely tell you about further results.
soyloquesoy, could you tell me please, what was the problem with your shuttle? May be something, I haven't noticed yet?

Let's see... I don't remember much, I don't even know where the pieces are. I was trying to make a big on (what I ended doing what this (http://www.intatters.com/http://www.intatters.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9950&d=1298134993)). I tried making thin blades, using a thin flat piece of dough and letting it dry on the side of a bottle or some other round thing. I am not sure if I had trouble getting it off that, and then I could not figure a way to add the middle post anyway, so I totally abandoned it. I guess that is not too helpful, LOL, but that's my story. (I wrote more about my "monster" shuttle here (http://www.intatters.com/showthread.php?4283-My-Monster-shuttle&highlight=Monster+shuttle), there are a few pictures in this album (http://www.intatters.com/album.php?albumid=735))

OK, it was helpful since I managed to get through those stages without trouble, and now am worried a little bit less))

If the kitty likes it, it has to be a winner.

Feel like crying, really. I got it lacqered and dropped it the next moment... One of the tips fell off in three parts.

Thank you all, I am really touched. OK, I'll fix it enough to stay on shelf like decoration and will just make another one. I liked the process of making it not less than tatting itself, anyway))

Welcome it revived! I decided to let the broken and repaired part stay unpainted, just laquered it.
And one more shuttle is nearly ready. You can watch it in process:happy:

It tats quite nice and the tips are stiff enough to hold the shuttle while hanging, but it appeared to be too height for comfortable tatting, am slightly dissapointed, will try something different next time.
