ok, so I keep seeing posts here and there about a 25 motif challenge.. in one year.
But so far that is all I know about it..... are there any rules or guidelines... is there a set of 25 motifs patterns or do you have to make up your own...or do you just do what ever you want.... ? I need specifics Bob, work with me here....

Here is the link (http://25motifchallenge.blogspot.com/)to the blog where the challenge was proposed and has practically become an institution. Since a fair number of members here at InTatters take part and want to display their items, we get to see quite a bit.

Thank you both for the information... I had done a couple of searches but just didn't come up with the right link.
Are the two sites you posted the same challenge?
I guess what I mean is, are they linked or two separate groups and you just choose to join one or the other...?
I really want to take the challenge, I just need to finish my current quilt project first.

The external link is to the original site that made the 25 Motif Challenge and institution among tatters. The group on InTatters for the 25 Motif Challenge is just a convenient place for member to discuss their ongoing and completed 25 Motif Challenges (some tatters actually complete the challenge several times). So it's pretty much up to you how you want to participate. One or the other or Both!

You need to have a blog of your own, and contact the administrators of the 25 motif challenge blog that you are joining. They do a recap of all the blogs weekly or so. Their contact info should be on the blog...
You will not have to post anything! If I understand it right Sharon browses regularly all blogs of people who takes part and catches the actual pictures. You have to give permission for it.

I understand they will also check the InTatters 25 motif group if you state that is where you will post your motifs? since not everyone has a blog. Been a while since I read the instructions but some last year (?) were uploading their motifs here when they did not have a blog.

Sharon's blog is a beautiful site to see other tatters' works and to have an extra motivation to tat. I've found it last year, and it's a great experience, I learnt other techniques and got in touch with other people. I love it and still go and look at all those beautiful things! :)
Hugs,
