I think I remember from e-tatters mention of a Tatting Correspondence Course.
It is a very detailed course covering various how to's and the work is critiqued by an instructor.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about here?
Can you direct me to the course?
I would really like to sign up but lost my link to the information.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Monica
I think you may be referring to Tatters Across Time. It is a 3 phase tatting proficiency program. I've finished the 1st and have the book for the 2nd. The patterns are great, and it is really a nice challenge. I highly recommend it!

Monica,
In addition to the information furnished by Amy, you can request a mentor from the TAT team who can help you as you go through the program. There is also no time limit in the length of time you take to do any of the phases.
The first phase consists of six tatted pieces and a discussion of a couple of techniques you will find useful in your tatting. The other two phases consist of twelves tatted projects each. Each phase consists of a book which contains excellent descriptions, diagrams and sample photographs. In addition to the pieces themselves, a glossary is included and each phase builds on the previous ones.
All tatted submissions are sent to three separate evaluators who will give you written comments on each of the pieces which suggestions for improving your skills.
Help this hleps.

Monica,
The English Lace Guild also has a two-year detailed course in tatting. The certificate the guild awards provides accreditation around the world. I guess it's what you want to do at the end of your course.
Judith.
