Hi has anyone used Circulo Aquarelle perle cottons to tat with at all?? Wondering what they are like.

Also anyone know how many metres in an Anchor perle 12 ball?? Want to compare - the Aquarelle is 65m.

Hmmm noone knows this thread.....that is sad.
Got some today from the UK. It is made in Brasil, comes in 65m balls and has a pretty wide range of colors.

To tat with it is quite soft but hold shape reasonably well and only fluffs a little bit.
For a cheap thread I think it will do the job nicely. Would be nice for bookmarks and things you do not want to use a hard thread for. Doesn;t have the sheen that Anchor perle 12 has but then not many threads do.

If you are interested I found it here:

They have Paypal and also sell on eBay - but just a note - if you buy off eBay you will pay slightly more. I bought 9 balls on eBay and could have got 10 from the shop for the same price. Postage costs are extremely reasonable. (but then I am in Australia and bringing in thread is always a nightmare on postage costs)

No association with this store other than getting good service and prompt delivery. Just another source of the ever hard to find thread!!

Hi Anne,
Not sure I would fall in love with this - it is a perle cotton. But it seems to tat ok.
Do not think I would do a huge doily in it cos it is so soft but for motifs and bookmarks I think it will be fine.
Nowhere near as strong or as sleek as the Anchor perle 12 but it hold shape ok.
I will tat something larger with it next week and see how I feel about it then.

Thanks for this. It's sometimes hard to fins reasonable shipping prices even in Europe :) Especially if you don't live in the central Europe. I've found it's sometimes cheaper to order from US because the dollar is cheaper now...
