Hi Ya'll. My wife is a cancer survivor. She is now cancer free and loves anything with the pink ribbon on it. All of her co-workers are constantly giving her items. They gave her a 3-year Cancer Free party this month. It has been a while since I've worked the shuttle. I was wondering if someone was capable of creating a pattern for the Pink Ribbon. I'm sure you are aware of the one that I am talking about. It would be a nice way to get back in. Thanks.

Welcome MrMike!! Tell your wife congratulations on her recovery and I hope she has many more cancer free birthday parties.

You can do a basic ring chain edging pattern and then fold it around and you have an awareness ribbon. There are patterns out there, unfortunately I don't see them listed in the pattern library. Hmmm if anyone knows where they are please get them in the library.

Thanks Patty ~ you must have a 'list' of patterns from which to retrieve information. That's great. I've made, literally, 100's of these for Breast Cancer Awareness fund raising. 6 years breast cancer free! Bev

MrMike,

The all rings ribbon is pretty goof proof. One shuttle, one thread. My favorite.

PattyD, sounds like the all rings one is where I will start. Thanks.

Susan, thanks for all the links. They look like they will be fun.

Tammy, seems like I've mainly used rings and chains. I will probably try one of these later.

tattrldy, thanks for the good wishes. They always seem to put a twinkle in Mary's eyes.

Ok everybody. I spent a while and composed one reply that included comments to each of you by name. Apparently I forgot to hit the post button and lost it. I hate to suffer alone so ya'll will have to guess at the words that I used to describe how young, beautiful, intelligent, careing, helpful, life-saving, forgiving, patient, kind, thoughtful, and considerate each of you are.

I am delighted that so many tatters have found my awareness ribbon patterns. I would like to say that Geocities is shutting down all free websites in the next few days, and my tatting and knitting patterns will be gone. Make sure you have copies of all that interest you. I have not yet decided where I will host my patterns in the future. Please respect my copyright, and keep a pattern only for your own personal use. Thanks!
