Does anyone know if there is a translation for the pattern at this link?

I'm not even sure what language it is.

It looks Italian. If so then the first line for example reading "A1: 3n ( 1 p ogni 3 n) x 7 v 3n Ch" would be in english: 'R1: 3 knots or ds (1 p every 3 ds) x 7 rw 3 ds cl.
Here's the Italian tatting abbreviation page I have for understanding Italian tatting, and if I'm right it should look like the image when a part is tested.

I just popped the url in bablefish, and although it's odd English, I think it could work combined with the abbreviation table to figure it out. Thank you for sharing this.

Good luck Tarie. It is in Italian. If you find a translation I would love a copy!! I tried this pattern a while back and had absolutely no luck with it. Hope you do much better and I would love to see the results. It is very pretty.

A colleague of mine is a native speaker of italian, she doesn't tat though. Maybe she can help us anyway. I'm on it and hope to have answers by Monday.

I took a closer look at it and tried to translate a part as good as I can - I think the key is the very first passage where it says, that all picots in this star are 3 ds apart. I must admit that I've given up on translating the pattern from Italian even with help since to me it's written out illogically, but I could figure quite something from the photos, considering the three-ds-rule. Isn't it peachy when your boss is not in and you only have to stay in the office to answer the phone? ;)
I've tried to write out one part of the "Small Star" pattern (it's the one on the left, with no true "arms") to understand the general principle. You have to work this pattern five times to get five corners. Unfortunately I'm not absolutely clear about where to connect from part to part, but I think this could be figured out as well from the photo.
The most important fact is, that she often changes shuttles after the join of a chain. I tried to make the pattern easier to understand by using two colours.
Start is with one of the five rings in the middle.

Wow Ice Princess Thanks for the start. Maybe with what you have figured out I can figure out the rest.

Take a look at the Adriana bookmark as well Tarie. That might give you some more clues. http://digilander.libero.it/chiacchierino/segnalibro%20adriana.html
