I haven't posted in quite a while. Lots of hangups along the way. I saw a picture of a bookmark with read hearts down the center over on the e-tatters page. Now, I'm looking for the pattern. Does anyone know where that pattern is/came from? It only shows a section of it, but I'd like to see the whole thing. Maybe I could then just figure it out on my own. I have been recently doing a few things using buttons, and now I'm a bit hooked! I will post some pictures of my finished pieces. ...
Since I went down to Downer's Grove, I have now purchased some more hooded bobbins to use on the fancy pillow that I had posted. It took quite a while for them to come in, but finally! Just thought I'd like to show you what they look like compared to the first ones I purchased... I just thought that mixed with the ones I have, it might just look a bit prettier. I still might try to stain the other ones....hmm! Should I or shouldn't I....! ...
I went to the lace day with two other ladies from my lace group. We met up with a few of our friends from the internet. What fun...I bought thread, a new bobbin lace pillow and a pair of sterling silver shuttle earrings. Also, one wooden bowl to put either pins or beads in that can attache to a pillow if I want to use it there. ...

Had this one started already when I posted the other one, so I have now finished it up. I wanted to take the picture with it stiffened, so I put the Stiffy on and then blow dried it. When I took it off the wax paper, it had some of the wax paper on it, so I then put it between a non-stick pressing sheet to soften it and most of it came off....whew! I won't do that again.... I used Lizbeth white along with #627 called Shell Pink - Med.
No. 12 in my tatting book. This one caused me a bit of grief trying to keep the picots the same size. I have the tool for measuring, but with this many...I'd go mad! Made with Lizbeth size 20 thread No. 631 called Country Purple Lt. I don't care for how the amount of stitches are posted in this book and all the sections of the pattern aren't covered. I love the patterns otherwise though.... It has a row of crochet around the outside to finish it off. Next time I will make the picots a bit ...
I thought I was getting pretty good with these eggs and then I picked this one....! I like it, but it sure was more difficult for me. This is No. 8 in my "TATTED Easter Eggs" by Kirsten Wind Hansen. It finishes up using picots on a spiral cord....err! Now, I think I have it figured out after I was almost done. Again in this pattern, I couldn't figure out her count in the pattern... Lizbeth thread size 20 in white and #104 called Summer Fun... ...
I've really been on a roll with my Easter eggs....but, have also had problems. Anyway....I have added more eggs to my 'Easter Egg' album. Here are a few... They are all from my book called "TATTED Easter Eggs" by Kirsten Wind Hansen. Having a difficult time with the one I'm working on now....
I'm tatting these Easter eggs from this book called "TATTED Easter Eggs" by Kirsten Wind Hansen. I just love the book, but am having a problem with some of the patterns. The one I'm working on now has a spiral cord with a picot in it. OK, I've been doing it, but am having a devil of a time getting them to spiral for me after I do the picot in the middle. Any suggestions...??? If anyone has the book, I'm doing Egg No. 8 and I just don't get the count in there....some of the areas ...
I have been selecting Easter eggs from Kirsten Wind Hansen's book according to which one I could do with no problem. OK, I'm getting to the sport where I will now have to think a bit, but on this one I have a question. It's calling for the ROLLED STITCH.... I have done this once a long time ago, but don't remember how many times I am supposed to roll it. I have done some searching, but haven't come up with an answer yet. Can anyone please give me a clue on how to judge the count for this......????? ...
I have two more of my eggs completed....the one of the left I did while baby sitting and although the girls loved watching, I was also distracted a bit and my picots are different sizes. I will have to make this one over again. Both of these were done using Lizbeth thread. The first one I used No. 129 which is called Purple Splendor. The second one is bright white with tiny pastel lavender beads. I haven't used beads in many years, but I sure like them on here. ...

I've been working from this book "TATTING Easter Eggs" by Kirsten Wind Hansen. Yesterday I did egg #5, but using first Lizbeth along with DMC size 30. I didn't like the feel of them together, so now I have re-done it. I guess I don't see much difference, but it sure felt better while doing the second one. I used Lizbeth size 20 in both, white and then 124 called Spring Garden. Love it! The second one is the first ...
I've got books showing and have tried and tried, but the ring always locks up, right where I go over to do the other half. I've tried keeping it in the same direction, then I tried turning it and it is always the same sport that locks up. When I start doing the opposite/other side, I see where there is one thread that crosses over another...it just isn't working....! Any hints...! Please! and more
The first one I did using 'Opera' thread, but after trying to correct a couple of mistakes and found the results not to good I made it over again. The second one I used 'Manuela' thread size 20 in #012. Loved it! I have never tatted anything before joining chains like this is the center, so decided to give it a try. Not bad at all. The pattern is from Be-Stitched and very delightful to ...
I always take two pictures because it looks different on the other side, but the other one is in my album. Now I need a break from the Celtic, only so I don't bore everyone with the same kind of stuff. This one is also from the 'Celtic Tatting Knots & Patterns' book by Rozella Linden. I used Lizbeth size 20 in colors 684, the green and 121 is the variegated one.
Just added another Tatted Celtic Flower, actually two, but one had a mistake, so I did it over. It's still a keeper however. I've explained everything about these in my Celtic Tatting album.
