Thanksgiving trip.

Laid up this holiday season.... wanted to put it off until after the Holidays... but insurance.....

Had my bulging veins in my legs taken care of... Wrapped feet to knees, not very comfortable, key board in my lap and feet propped up on my desk drawer.

But now I will have "beautiful" legs...

There could be worse ways to spend the holidays. My husband is the best cooking such.....

Thanks to all who extend thoughts and prayers for my and my family. I was able to have two very good days when he first went into Hospice care, he was alert and his usual funny self. Then was in and out of it.
Saturday he had very little response but would smile when we asked him too. I had to return home on Sunday. He and I were both okay with this... it was discussed long before he reached the need for Hospice Care.

My brother passed away Monday (4-4-11) I am doing okay about ...

My younger brother with Pancreatic CA was but in the Hospice hospital in Houston this morning. I will be flying out tonight. I need to see him again. I promised I would come say my goodbyes at this time.
It will be hard. I have been out for visits twice already this year and we had some wonderful times. But now I must tell him good by and trust he is go quickly and easily into Gods care. We on earth can only love him that is all that is left.

Wish him ease into the next life, ...

I am in Houston visiting my brother that has Pancreatic cancer. Last week he has a PET scan and they found two new hot spots.
Needle biopsy in the AM (1/31). They are sure it is cancer but want to make sure with the biopsy. He is at the 11th month. About 3% make it to one year. We are all hoping. Please keep in him your prayers and wish him the best. If they are cancer he cannot have surgery or radiation. Chemo is the only option.

Have been out of town for a week. My DH and I spent it in Lake Tahoe, Ca. Food, Fun and skiing.
It was a much needed get away.

Heading to Gualala, Ca. to a house on the bluff above the Pacific Ocean. Looking forward to the get away.
My DH and I really need it. With Nolan, my brother, not able to come is a bummer.
Then Sunday we had to put our 16-17 year old cat to sleep. Great holiday...... He will be cremated then retunred to us. He will be put on the self
in his wooden box next to Nikki his sister cat.

I am a little bummed this evening. My brother D. Nolan was to come to California for Thanksgiving. My husband and I have rented a house on the California coast for five days. We were so looking forward to my brother coming. He is the one with pancreatic cancer. He is not doing well as far as nutrition and stamina. His Chemo and radiation is over. His PET scan this week is negative, but he is not well enough to travel from Texas to California.
My DH and I were looking forward to ...

Been on the phone to my younger brother, he live 2000 miles away from me. He has just finished chemo and radiation for stage 2 Pancreatic Cancer. He has just passed the 9 month mark. It was a shock to all of us, there is no history of cancer in our family. Our older brother lives only 15 or so miles from him. That has been a help for him and a comfort for me.
He is doing very well and hopes to return to work in 3 weeks.

Thanks for letting me vent and please offer a prayer ...

Had a large praying Mathis in my garden.. took his picture. I has almost 5 inches long. He head would follow me around. Put his picture in my album of not tatted stuff.

Have not posted here... thought I would give it a try....

Love the long weekend... Cleaning house, getting ready to go on vacation.

Completed an UFO......
