I have just finished another of Lyn Morton's patterns this time using some of her lovely metallic thread. Was it worth all that effort to order on-line, pay a million dollars extra because of the exchange rate and wait wait wait for it the package to arrive ( because of the blizzards shutting down the Uk). I have been tracking my thread order and I'm wondering exactly how it has been traveling. Its taken 10 full days from the time it left US to when it actually hit Aust. That's too fast for a boat isn't it and too slow for a plane. It must be sightseeing on the way. But it's an interesting question. I would have thought that it would have been by air, but 10 days!. It has now zoomed through customs and hopefully it's on it way to me. To say that I can't wait is a huge understatement. Maybe tomorrow. ...
Don't know about you but I currently have 8 billion and two projects on the go at the moment. So I just keep spinning from one to the other trying manfully to finish one off each day. Hah! Like that is going to happen! So can we put off Christmas for 2 months so that I can catch up. PLEEEEZE!
Yes I am sulking again. Because once again I am NOT going to get to the NSW Guild meeting. THIS time its election day and I was worried about I could vote and get there in time. But not too worry I sorted all my worries out, -- by stuffing up my back again So flat on my back for most of this week. I'm trying to work out how I seem to attract so much bad luck. Did I have a doozy of a last life or upset some fairy? Or a good old fashion gypsy curse. Has to be something like that.
Well I feel like I have been missing all the action here at Intatters. I have been told not to tat for a while so have hauled out my knitting again. If nothing else it has given me a few new ideas about how to link knittng and tatting. Unfortunately my knitting stash had shrunk away so my poor little credit card got a bashing at Spotlight. Dang pretty shiny wool things are as bad as pretty shiny cottons.
Thats it its too cold to tat. My fingers are white my nose is red and Im sure if I could see my toes ( Ha Ha wishful thinking) that they would be blue.
Severe weather warning for all day tomorrow. I see me and my tatting on the couch in front of the tv ALL day. Bliss.
Okay I give up. I need some velvet for a fancy dress outfit and I knew I had the right colour in the spare room. Well 4 hours later I still havent found it and there are boxes everywhere. I had to yell for help to get out as I was trapped. I think its time I sorted it out properly so goodbye forever.
Tricky as it is to type with a little cockatiel dancing on the keyboard, using the mouse as a dodgem car and demanding attention all the time I will be heartbroken if his owner ever turns up.
Big note to self. Make sure the dogs have something else -other than my tatting - to play with before I leave the house.
Spent a lot of last night doing little flowers to attach to bracelets, Woke up this morning and the two that I have attached have different coloured beads, They certainly looked the same last night.
Its our wedding anniversary and my hubby is notorious for not buying anything so this time I went and bought myself a beautiful ring. I told him I was going to do this and that he had to get his own present this time. But he then felt so guilty that Id paid for it myself that he gave me chocolates and cooked me breakfast and sent flowers to work for me and took me to dinner. So it was all for me me me. Worked well didnt it?
