My second attempt was less than appealing to me. It was just difficult to look at after all of the work and not being happy with the center motif I tried a third ring and am much happier with the way that center piece looks in the ring. I'll attach a photo in my album when finished with this.

Yesterday's adventure was entertaining and I did complete one piece. From that day's experience I can see that this will also be a lesson in using different size rings and different sizes of thread. Yi, yi, yi.....it least it's fun to do.

This actually begins a two step process for me. One is tatting with rings. There is one week out of the year that the pup (Annie), the bird (Lily) and I are all alone to do what we want and this is it. While I must admit, it will be quiet without Warren, it's nice to be able to focus on my tatting and some other projects I want to get done.
