This has been one crazy, hectic summer. I've been feeling the need to tat something, anything, just for the graceful simplicity of it. This edging was in the the first pamphlet managed to dig out. My world was a little more zen-like, and the little one got a cute bracelet. The universe has balance once a again. For now.

I was up all night.this respiratory infection is wearing me out. Since I was up anyway, I decided to buckle down and finish the black necklace. the split ring chain was 17 inches, so I only made one flower. it has a clear cracked glass bead for the center, and the second round has shiny black gunmetal 4mmcubes to hide the area where the second row was added on to the picots of yhe first row.. I haven't taken the picture yet. but will add it sometime today.. take care and keep tatting
I finished a snowflake. hope you like it. I gave up on the flower design from the" tatting from burda" book, and decided to design my own flower center piece. I''ll take a picture when I'm finished.. Takt care and keep tatting.
This weeks post is a little late.

...I wonder what books and blogs inspire you in your tatting/craft?
Hello again from East Liverpool. Ohio. I haven't had much of a chance to work on my tatting, new medicine makes me very sleepy. I am a persistant tatter, I finished the black split ring chain, Iran out of working thread, just as I finished the last stitch. It has been my experience, that with tatting, if you think something is difficult,it will be. So I am resigned to thinking that this particular pattern is do-able. I look forward to your comments.
I have written several thousand posts and the reason I found that out was a lot of what I teach is explained right here on InTatters and refined over time. The refined over time part is really interesting. I have developed new viewpoints as new complications come up. So I am re-reading all my posts and the threads they appear in and trying to use all this information as a rough draft of technical tatting advice.
It would be useful to me to let me know when I said something that
Been busy , I got sidetracked,on the snowflakes, and am making a black split ring necklace with a a tatted focal I will write more k from one of my favorite books,"Tatting from burda" It's been translated from German by Etha Schuette. It's put out by Lacis Publications. The pictures are amazing, but although I feel that some instructions were lost in translation.the diagrams seem accurate.
I will write more later, right now I need to tat.
Hello. I'm not sure if this is the place to post my question. I have been a member for a long time but just haven't had or taken the time to peruse Intatters! Shame on me! Anyway, I was looking for cross patterns and came across a post on Facebook in the "Tatting" group that referenced the following link to InTatters:
When I try to go to this link, it tells me that I do not have permissions. Can anyone tell me why I get
My sister, emailed me and asked for some tatted snowflakes for her Christmas tree. The word got around the nursing home that I was tatting snowflakes, so now all the nurses want snowflakes. Most of the patterns I have are written for the shuttle, so I have to study the pattern. & with most patterns you just have to start in the center and"go with the flow". I tell my students that they can do anything if they can read. In tatting you must be able to tell the front from the back
As you can see by my picture(in my profile), That tube coming from my neck attaches me to a vent. If the electricity shuts off, I stop breathing for a few seconds before the emergency generator kicks on. The nurses here at the Nursing home are great!!! When my alarm goes off every one rushes in to help. The administrator has been kind enough to let me make and sell my jewelry. Graduated from West Liberty State Teachers college with two degrees. Jenn is very happy :D
