I am working my way through MiniTats by Patricia Duff and I have come to the inevitble question: How do I get that last join right without twisting or ruining my hard work?? Well, leave it to InTatters. I have found a wealth of information about 'how to' do it correctly. Thank you everyone! Ah! The long weekend is coming. I hope to get back on tatting the chrysanthemum still. Have started on another project it is a square star. I thought it looked intriguing. I will also be seeing couple friends in Sept that I have not seen for 22 years. I was thinking if I hurry, I can have some tatting done for them as gifts upon meeting. Of course, I have to decide what I want to do first as I don't want to make it too complicate then I will never get it done in time. ...
Worked it out today that i'ts over 50 years since a school friend taught me to tat. I did this for a number of years then having run out of ideas on what to make next did nothing for well over 40 years (We had no patterns and just made edgings collars and trims fro, our imaginations) I am overwhelmed by the sheer number of patterns available and will have to find a new storage space for all the books I've bought and all the free patterns I've printed out.
