How to add a link to Knots

A few of you have been asking, so here's the how to on adding links to Knots.

    What is Knots?
It's a new pattern library for tatting. It includes links to online, vintage and in-print patterns as well as tatting-related blogs and websites. Every link is visual, meaning that there's a picture of the finished item included. Some smaller vintage patterns or those where permission has been granted to do so include the full pattern write up as well. For in-print items, we include links to various locations where you can purchase the book online.

    Where do I find Knots?
Look up at the navigation bar, there it is! And you don't need to be a member of InTatters to view Knots (although you do if you want to comment on anything there)

    Who can submit a link?
Anyone. Absolutely anyone at all. If you see a pattern online that you think deserves to be highlighted in Knots please submit it!

How do I submit a link?
Reply to this post. Include the URL for the site/pattern.

You can make it easier for me to add the pattern in if you also give me any of the following - the name of the pattern; the name of the designer; the copyright year; what techniques are used; a couple of sentences describing the pattern; an image to use.

I found a pattern but it has no image.
Annoying isn't it? How can you know whether it's the perfect one or not? If you do happen to have an image of the pattern tatted up, please submit that to me. I'm more than happy to use member images in place of the originals - sometimes, especially in the case of older patterns, they can even be better. Even if you think you may have a nicer shot than the original, send it on. The more the merrier!

How long does it take to see a pattern/site in Knots?
This depends on when I get a chance to add it in, although I do try to add in new links every day. I will only ever add a single link per day and I try to not have too many days in a row for any one designer. I also try to keep to some broad themes, so Angels, ornaments and snowflakes in the month before Christmas type of thing. But don't wait, send it on now!
