Split chain doily

Rate this Entry
When I did the little motif to demonstrate my method of doing a split chain it seemed a shame to waste it.....and so I just carried on. I used a thick thread for the demo and I don't normally use such a thick thread for doilies, but I thought, "what the heck" and this is the result so far. I have no idea what I shall do with it when it is finished, probably give it away, as usual, LOL!!!

It's beautiful, Linda. You are such a talent. Anyone would love to have your work. I'd even love to have your pattern.

Linda, that is absolutely beautiful. I would be more than happy to give it a very "good home!"

My first try of Split chains was for the 'tardis' bookmark. Your piece above looks like a much nicer use of them though...will add it to the project list :) Must also let you know Linda, your flower patterns are lovely and I am currently getting much faster at slip and slide tatting when making these beautiful flowers.

What a great job! I really need to work on doing split chains... I think I've only ever done 2-3 of them ... And I don't even remember how I did them! HA!
