I'm... knitting?

So I was looking through the projects I have in the various mediums that are pending. I have two medallion carving projects, I would like to finish Springtime^3, a tatted doily, and I remembered today that I needed to make a couple of new shirts for my son's little stuffed monkey. (Monkey helps us learn things like "Getting Dressed" and "Holding Hands" so he has to have clothes.) That's besides some sewing projects. One had to be put on hold because the recipient is currently making me a new niece or nephew, the other because I'm a little intimidated by it, in spite of the fact that in theory it looks really comfy.
So I found myself looking at Monkey's little tank top, which is knitted. Unfortunately, the orange one he wears doesn't match the blue (and multi) fabric that I bought, so I guess I'm gonna have to coordinate with some old stashed yarns. I've got the Baleen II's back out and am swatching as I type this.
Am I really insane? I mean, I'm coordinating shirts and tank tops for an 8 1/2" non-living little buddy? I should add at this point that monkey also has a plastic canvas house... and car and my son is five years old. At what point have I gone too far?
