Happy Heart-y Birthday!

Despite the other projects were keeping me from it, I finally finished this project for my daughter's third birthday. It's Susan K. Fuller's "Heart's Desire" in size 70 thread. Extra bonus: I found a frame exactly matching my thread color!
Though the heart was definitely the greater accomplishment, I am most proud of the little heart border chain. Not finding one to my liking, I made this one up. The pattern goes like this.
R: 8-7-7*+to last picot, 7-8, close, RW.
C: 4-3-3-4, close, RW.
R: 8+to last picot of previous ring, 7-7+to last picot, 7-8, close, RW.
* To make a heart shaped ring: Make the first half of the ring, 8-7-4; slip those stitches off the needle, far enough to be able reach the last picot, but do not close ring; make 3 DS; join to last picot, continue with ring, 7-8. Close, RW
