I had some pearle 12 left on my shuttles from making my corsage and so used up the thread with this doily. It didn't flow as well as some of my designs, therefore I had a lot of wasted thread, however, I think the end result was worth it!
Indeed! Well worth it! I am quite intrigued by this design. Nice job!
It is very nice, I think it is proof that sometimes sacrificing thread is well worth it. Well done!
Love the crowns around the outside. Spectacular use of thread. Even the "wasted" bits had their purpose in getting you here.
BTW, I don't know if anyone has noticed, but, except for the outer round, all the chains are lock-stick chains. I did them this way because I wanted straight lines instead of curved ones.
Lovely design! and now that you mention it, I do see that the small chains are all lock-stitched. What a lovely idea.... nice and straight too! I'll have to remember that technique. Are you going to make up a pattern for it? Hint, hint, hint :)
It's lovely! Like a rose window. I do hope you can share the pattern!
