Finally ! This is the 6th attempt at this pattern,
I have messed it up every time. Either connecting the wrong picots or not connecting any, or losing my temper and chucking it in the bin lol. But I decided to try one more time with some new thread I got on Saturday. I've only ever used lizbeth, mainly 20, but I wanted something thicker. Shops that sell stuff like that are a bit thin on the ground in my area, I usually buy online. But I managed to find this
on Saturday. It's Lesur Empress crochet cotton, it says it's 100% cotton mercerised. It's lovely and soft but I wonder how it will hold up ? I did myself a bookmark with it and it tats up nice. I'm going to make myself a bracelet with it and see what it looks like after a few outings.
It was all the shop had in, they mainly sell wool. The owner did mention that he couldn't get it anymore. He said next time his rep comes he'll try to find something like lizbeth.

Here's the bookmark - as you can see I forgot to join a picot at the end o.O and I used a very diluted solution of Stiffy fabric stiffener.

It's not perfect but I'm still learning, and I absolutely love tatting so I'm enjoying myself !
