Batty Tatter

Jane's bookmark

Rate this Entry
This bookmark was named for Jane Eborall and Jane McLellan. It's an adaption and modernization of a braid pattern from Anna Burda. I really enjoyed making the pattern. I've already started another one. The tail is all split rings and a little medallion.

I love your adaptations. I am working on adapting a few of the older patterns to use split rings to join 'rounds' so ends don't need to be sewn in as often. Would love to see this pattern diagrammed... I love split rings :D

whoooops, it's not their either. I just looked. If you send me your email address, reminding me which book mark you want, I'll send it to you.

I checked on her site, but didn't find it. So I googled Jane's bookmark by Jane Eborall and I found it. Thanks so much for offering to send it to me. I'm a newbie needle tatter (only about 6 or 7 weeks) and am wondering if I can do it with a needle because it calls for 2 shuttles.

I sure don't know about needle tatting. Sorry. If you put a message out in the "How Do I" category, you will find help there. Can you do split rings with needles?

I don't have a diagram, but I can email you the pattern. Apparently if you Google Jane's bookmark, you will find the pattern there.
