Back to the start

Today, I took stock of my chrysanthemum doily tatting. I noticed that I have majorly messed it up I cannot undo it because so much of tatting was done before my discovery, I decide to toss the tatting and start from the beginning. Hopefully I can complete this run without much error.

Oh well, practice makes a person improve right!

I've done the same thing many times! It's nice to know I'm not the only one!

With sheep doily, I've had to cut out whole rounds and go back one or even 3! I'm back to where I last cut out rounds…and it is looking a lot better the second time around. I've often thought, on smaller items, that I ought to do it in big thick #10 thread…and then re do it in the size I want…if I weren't such a moderately slow tatter, I'd do that…but I'd never get anything finished ~ lol Hangest thou in there!

I thought about cutting off because I did read that in a book I borrowed from the library but I wasn't too sure what I'd end up with so I think I will just restart the whole thing, I bet the new one will look better anyway. :)
