Sherlock Holmes and the case of the traveling thread

Rate this Entry
I have been tracking my thread order and I'm wondering exactly how it has been traveling. Its taken 10 full days from the time it left US to when it actually hit Aust. That's too fast for a boat isn't it and too slow for a plane. It must be sightseeing on the way. But it's an interesting question. I would have thought that it would have been by air, but 10 days!. It has now zoomed through customs and hopefully it's on it way to me. To say that I can't wait is a huge understatement. Maybe tomorrow.

From issues I tracked while I was working, it's usually a glitch in the paperwork that has to be resolved before the shipment can proceed. Until the bit of info is corrected or explained, the shipment stays in limbo. That or it fell behind something and no one noticed for a while! Really, it's a wonder to me that ANYTHING gets where it is going. The sending country has their forms and terms and the receiving country has theirs and ne'er the twain shall meet.

I've sent stuff to Astralia and it took a week to get there...on the other hand, I've also had the same size package take a whole MONTH to get there! To the same person yet! :-O
