After being gone for a month or so..I've now managed to get back online. Between a broken laptop power cord and oh yeah...Miss Katalina was born on January 13, which is funny because we were married on a 13th and we had the pregnancy confirmed on a 13th. I had to be induced because she refused to come out. I guess it was too warm in there compared to where we are.
Once the ball got rolling, it was one of the fastest labors I've experienced, I think it was 3 pushes and maybe 15 minutes? Since my husband is still working, I got the 'night shift'. So now I wake up around 9pm and go to bed around noon. I actually went 3 days without sleep before I crashed in the beginning. Talk about relearning experiences.
I am just now finally able to get back to doing some light tatting and crocheting. Since my santa packages have gone awol (sorry to my reciepants), I'm trying my hardest to get some new pieces completed as quickly as possible to send them on their way, all that's left is to finish the tatting portion of the gifts. (I feel so bad they've been waiting so long). I've reached the 1/3 point in the blanket I'm crocheting. Since working with larger thread because of the crochet, I've purchased 2 balls of size 10 pink and green thread to tat with. I'll make some nice flowers and hearts with them. The finer threads are once again snapping in my fingers because of tension, which I have to relearn. Who would have thought I would forget it all so quickly?
All in all, it's been a very full month so far this year.
