Another Easter Egg Done......4/24/2011

No. 12 in my tatting book. This one caused me a bit of grief trying to keep the picots the same size. I have the tool for measuring, but with this many...I'd go mad! Made with Lizbeth size 20 thread No. 631 called Country Purple Lt. I don't care for how the amount of stitches are posted in this book and all the sections of the pattern aren't covered. I love the patterns otherwise though.... It has a row of crochet around the outside to finish it off. Next time I will make the picots a bit smaller. The pattern calls for 4 mm which in my book is only .16 of an inch....NO WAY! They don't look that small in the book...

I don't know why I get the two pictures. Should I just add the picture as an attachment...? HELP!

A 4 mm hook is not .16 of an inch. A .4 mm hook is .16 of and inch. You missed the point! * sorry, I couldn't resist the pun.

Hi PattyD, this time I'm writing this when I'm not so tired, but.....the book says ...Crochet hook 0.6 or 0.75 and a Picot meter at 4mm....so I then looked up 4 mm in my metric book and it says one mm is equal to 0.04......so, .04 x 4 equals 16...right? I didn't give that info after the size of the crochet hook, but after I mentioned the picots and said they looked a bit to big for me...
