I finally conquer SPLIT CHAINS

Rate this Entry
I heard of this technique last year but I never got it. I repeatedly watched video after video and looked at diagrams of how it should be and to no avail, I just couldn't get it. Now this past week I was watching Karen Cabrera's cabone how to video and suddenly remembered that I read somewhere if one understand how to tat with cabone, one would know how to do split chains. So I paid extra attention to how she does it and tried it on my own and I did it!

I finished a piece of project where the thread ran out at the end and only have enough to do split chains. yay! one less UFOs.....

Thank you to Karen Cabrera's video, it is so clear and easy to follow.

I used cabone rings to practice split chains. It made it much easier to see how to form the stitches.

    Congratulations!

Onwards and upwards. It's always good to conquor something and the longer you have been trying the better it is. Love that feeling.
