Well, what exactly is troubling you? What makes your tatting "Wrong way"? 3D tatting can stretch you thinking since you have a new dimension to work with. Do you mean working on the backside of the tatting?
Sorry Patty, I got a bad flu and could not follow the forum.
The Reverse / Wrong Way Tatting mentionned for shuttle tatting, Now, it's okay with my needle, that's right, its is in the back side. The pattern is very pretty
Terminology counts! There is a front and a back side to tatting. There is no right or wrong side. It's all in the terminology. And, in tatting some terminology needs cleaned and cleared up. b.

So Christiane,
A 3 dimensional work can be a bit tricky to find out whether you are in fact where you thought you were (frontside or backside). Generally, you start Tatting frontside. Then when you reach a backside spot, you change from frontside normal Tatting to backside Reverse Order Double Stitches (RODS). This sequence keeps all the Tatting on the frontside. Frontside Tatting is defined as worked stitches where the first and last stitches of an element are complete DS (No half DS at the beginning or the end of the DS) and all the intervening stitches are also complete DS. When the work is reversed, the order of the two parts of a DS must be reversed to preserve the complete DS order on the frontside So the definition of what Backside Tatting means is: The beginning and the ending of a line of RODS is a half of a DS.
When trying to determine what to do next and which direction to work
Inside a 3D object is backside and the outside of a 3D object is frontside.
Reversing is a local operation, which means that you only inspect the element immediately before the current element to determine if the current element should be tatted frontside or backside.
Interesting and informative, as usual!!! I switched over to FS/BS tatting about a year ago. I like the even look. I can see where 3 dimensions would be tricky.

Wrong way tatting is unturned knots, i.e. reverse tatting or direct tatting as in the second half of a split ring. It got its name from beginners making the halves of the knot the wrong way (unflipped).
Judith
It's really clear for me now, Very helpful,
Many Thanks all of you
