    Default European stores?

Do any of you here know of a good European tatting store? I have ordered happily from Handy Hands and other American stores before, but recently the danish postal service decided to put a 27$ fee on all packages from outside of Europe. On top of that we also have to pay 25% of the value of the stuff inside if it's not European (and the value is set by the toll office randomly) and an extra import toll just because, so it's getting quite expensive.

In the hope of many good links

I can recommend these two in the UK:
    http://www.roseground.com/
    http://www.tatting.co.uk/

The fees are charged of citizens in the EU every time you shop outside the EU and it is all due to trade barriers.

Maybe all fiber artists should band together and lobby the EU for a Free Trade Agreement for all our fiber supplies.
If major manufacturers can have their free trade agreements, why can't we?

I've been quite lucky to not get charged extra fees into Ireland... so far. Of course I couldn't guarantee that that would stay the same

Thanks a lot! Of course I should have asked you straight away!

Edit. Now I checked those 2, but it seems neither of them sell Lizbeth thread in smaller sizes, which was some of what is on my wish list, so I would still love to hear about more stores, if anyone should know any.

    .
You will have to lobby very hard, I think. We do have free trade within the EU, but everything from the outside has some quite heavy toll barriers.

It is difficult to get Lizbeth at all in Europe. But then, there's still the wide range of Anchor threads which is far greater than anything I've seen so far in the US, also Venus threads work fantastically.
Maybe you try out http://www.heidis-creativstudio.de/ The shop-owner is a tatter herself and tried out all threads she sells.
Do not hesitate to write her an email if you don't find the things you want in the shop, she does not have the time to keep it perfectly updated all the time.

Maybe we could start a section with links to stores that sell tatting supplies. And perhaps we could classify it by country of location.
That way if one were to travel abroad, one could search out what stores to visit in that country.
