    Thumbs up Flower Bookmark

    Flower Bookmark
    needle or shuttle
    2 colors-1 for flowers (needle or shuttle) & 1 for leafy edge(can be left on ball)
    r=ring ch=chain p=picot vsp=very small picot += join ds=double stitch cl=close rw= reverse work
    Leave a 10 inch thread of each color and tie together

    ch 5 with ball thread
    *r 6ds, vsp, 2ds, vsp, 6ds, cl, rw
    ch 2ds, p , 2ds, p, 2ds, p, 2ds, rw
    r 6ds, + to last p of previous ring, 2ds, vsp, 6ds, cl, rw
    ch 2ds, p , 2ds, p, 2ds, p, 2ds, rw
    r 6ds, + to last p of previous ring, 2ds, vsp, 6ds, cl
    repeat from* for desired length
    for last flower repeat ring and chain twice more then r 6ds, + to last p of previous ring, 2ds,+ to first p of first r in this set to complete the flower, 6ds, cl
    #r 6ds, + to corresponding 3rd ring of next flower, 2ds, vsp, 6ds, cl, rw
    ch 2ds, p , 2ds, p, 2ds, p, 2ds, rw
    r 6ds, + to last p of previous ring, 2ds, vsp, 6ds, cl, rw
    ch 2ds, p , 2ds, p, 2ds, p, 2ds, rw
    r 6ds, + to last p of previous ring, 2ds, + to first p of first r in this set to complete the flower, 6ds, cl
    repeat from # to the end then rw, ch 5
    Cut ends 10 inches and tie all 4 ends in an overhand knot and twist into rope or
    using green ball thread do 80-100 half stitches over other 3 threads to form a twisted rope (shuttle only)

    Thank you for posting the bookmark pattern Rachael, I love tatting bookmarks. I am tempted to tat it without looking at the picture, just for the fun of it, lol.

    I did an overhand knot before and after the twist and held the 2 green threads together and the 2 carribean threads together.
