Semco pattern question

Hi Everyone, I need some help with an old pattern.

It comes from the Semco Intruction Book No 16.
I am trying the heart inset from page 12 'Heart Border for a gift doyley ' and I am having trouble understanding it.
I have tried writing it all out and there are still some confusing bits.

Has anyone done this pattern or know this book and can help me?

The part I am struggling with is the last paragraph sentece 2 where it says " the last two should match"

Match WHAT I say!!
match the 1st chain description
match the 2nd chain description
Or match the 1st & 2nd chains ( if so in reverse order???? )

Don't have this pattern, sorry. Hope someone comes along who can help you before you pull all of your hair out.

I don't have it either. Is there a picture you can compare the pattern to? Sometime that helps me when I don't understand a pattern.

I haven't heard of SEMCO here in US: I googled "SEMCO Tatting" and found Australiam and New Zealand sites: perhaps there are tatters from this part of the world who could help -- good luck!

Is it the green book? I think I have it, but, with house guests just now, I can't easily hunt through my room. But another Australian tatter may be able to help you a bit sooner !

I do not have the pattern, but maybe it refers to the last two segments. They should be made the same??? Look alike??? Ring and chain segments should Match????

O/seas at the moment - have 7 and 21 scanned here but not 16 sorry. If you want to scan it and email it to me I am happy to take a look. If it works I can diagram it for you - does that help at all?? Figures it is the only one I haven't scanned yet!!!!!

I decided to wing it and thought I was pretty clever. But when I finished it was lopsided just slightly. A non tatter wouldn't pick it but it shouts out at me. I've thrown it all aside for a time when I have more patience.
When you get home can you remind me to scan it for you.

Found the pattern at last, it is in a very fragile booklet I bought in Auckland and I need to read through the pattern now.
