    ch- chain, r - ring, p - picot, j - join, rw - reverse work

    Rep from * til there are 7 rings

    Thank You for posting this. I'm going to give it a try!! This will be my first REAL project (I hope). I know, I'm ambitious... eek!
    I designed this as a beginner myself when I could only do chains, rings and joins with the shuttle. I did a lot of experimenting before I got it the way I wanted it. I did several in many colors. The one in the pic was done with DMC 80 with a variegated (52) for the rings and solid (553) for the chains. Since there is no working in of ends it makes for a nice easy finish. It took me a while to figure out the magic threads, LOL. You should do fine with it.
    Everyone please note that I made a correction to some of the chains (I forgot some joins and part of the chain in the directions and just now noticed it)

    That's a beautiful cross, Rachael! Thanks for sharing the pattern. I have three friends who have recently been diagnosed with cancer. One started chemo and radiation for oral cancer two weeks ago. One is going in for breast surgery cancer today, and one for breast cancer surgery next week. I think this will be the perfect little cross to slip into a card for each of them.
