tattin kat--those are so pretty! I have done several since Rachael shared the pattern. I've used two just recently in sympathy cards. I've got a pink one started right now. this is one pattern where I think the variegated thread works up good!

I read the latest post to this thread and read back through all of the posts and it really lifted my spirits to think of you all tatting one of my patterns. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!
While your hand is not doing too good, how about design more patterns for us to do?
Try, try, and try again...until the out come is presentable at least.....gc
Hi Rachael, I'm fairly new at tatting and found your easy tatted cross. It is easy (so far) and looks really nice. I'm wondering what the symbol # is? As I said, I'm fairly new and haven't mastered all the different symbols yet. Your instruction for this line reads #ch 4 j 4 (to p on corresponding chain) I have'nt reached this part yet so any help before I get there would help. Thanks.
if your read a little farther you will notice that youso in this case it is a marker for the beginning of a repeat and that is all. A helpful hint for anyone new to anything done with a pattern of any type - read through it all the way to make sure you understand it all. Then you will know ahead if there are things you need to learn before doing the pattern.Repeat from # 5 times
This project is beautiful. I love the colors. Thank you for submitting the pattern. Always looking for something new to tat.
What a great design! I love the colors. As a newbie, I am now hoping to go into something other than edgings and butterflies. I think this pattern would be just the thing.
Thank you for the help.
I completed this pattern in one sitting lastnight. It turned out wonderfully!! I will be giving it to my mother-in-law this month for her birthday. I'm sure she will be using it as a bookmark for her bible. Thank you so much for sharing your pattern :0)
Lisa, I'm glad you were able work out this pattern. I too finally made it work after I was told to read the pattern before asking questions. What size thread did you use? I used a very fine thread, ( don't know the size for sure, it wasn't marked.) It came out pretty good. I wonder if it would come out just as good with a size 20 or 10 thread?
