It's great that so many of you are interested in igne oya! I've made up a subdomain of my webpage by now (oya.spitzenkiste.de) where I will start posting the lessons along to the tutorial I'll write up on InTatters..
If you have any questions about the tutorial, please ask them here. On request I'd also send you a pdf version of the tutorial as soon as we're through.

One thing though: I'll be demonstrating for the German Lacemaker's Guild at Stuttgart craft fair from wednesday through sunday and I'll need the monday to recover. So please don't be angry if I can't respond during that time.

Edit: I made a mistake in giving the adress. Nevertheless it doesn't quite work out at the moment.

If you are planning a visit to London (and the V&A) contact the museum well in advance and make an appointment to view the Oya and Tatting that they have in their reserve collection. You will be able to see the actual 'pages' which Elgiva Nicholls prepared for the Plates in her book, 'Tatting: technique & history'. It is fascinating behind the scenes.

I'm in love with Oya/Oyalari/Oyasi too!
2 days ago I received a book I bought online on Igne oya and I've made a whole row of correct knotted lace (1st Lesson as per the book which is in Japanese and I can't read a note of it!) I've yet to get the correct thread/yarn but I'm so excited. Next I'll have to get onto the flowers. Kitchen is closed for the duration.....................housework can wait too!

IcePrincess, I love your Oya Flowers. They're beautiful.
