Romanian Point Lace Angel

I took progress pictures while I was making this angel for those not familiar with Romanian Point Lace which is a combination of a specialty made crochet cord and needle lace. I purchased a kit when I wanted to learn this technique. It is a blast to see it all come together.
I'll post a better picture of the finished angel when it is stiffened.

It is great! I very like this needle work, but I am afraid of trying it.. maybe once ;-)

Here is what she looks like all finished and stiffened. I had to scan her because the batteries died in my camera.

Frakira, don't be afraid to try this. The hardest part to get is understanding how to crochet the cord, but once you get that, the rest is easy.

'Romanian Point Lace' (Thompson & Waller, 2003) illustrates several cords which can be crocheted and used in patterns for this lace. It's a very helpful book.
