I use Serif Draw Plus. It is a very easy program to use and you can get a free version but if you want the full version, I only paid $9.00 USD for it. Any graphics program though that you can draw outlined ovals, lines, rotate and group will work.
I am working with Inkscape, because Draw plus is working only on windows and I don't have this OS. But I was able draw everything I wanted, so I suppose they are similar..
Frakira...what OS do you have?...I do not have windows either..I have Lenux...robin N ME, USA

on my big computer its a lenux os..but i have a laptop that is windows Xp...os...am thinking it might be nice to have the mobility of the laptop ( do not really use this much)...so is serifDraw plus a windows program?...have to decide which to use first..too many decisions usually slows me down .

Robin, I have linux..
My, my, we have a bunch of Linux-using tatters on this forum! :-D I'm running Ubuntu Maverick for netbooks.
I was wondering about this, myself, but hadn't put much effort into looking yet because finding Linux equivalents is usually pretty exhausting. I have Photoshop CS2 that I run using Wine, but I haven't tried it for making pattern diagrams (it could probably do it, I just haven't looked into it). I'll look into Inkscap, though, when I get around to making patterns. :-P
Life is a Journey. :-)
