Patty, I have not yet. I have about 10 things going right now that I must finish before I can start this. I am working on a needlepoint tractor pic for my grandson, a pair of pjs for my oldest son, redoing couch cushions for my daughter, putting in my fall garden so I may be able to sell items if the weather cooperates, etc. I am going to try my best to be finished with most of this by the end of next week. I am anxious to get started. Thank you!!!

Great! Glad to hear that you have a plan! I'm here, ready and waiting for your questions. I have taught a couple of people to bobbin lace over the net. And now I can make videos it if necessary.

I finally "learned" how to make bobbin lace this last year. I was stunned as to how easy it was, but I have to remind myself that I learned to Tat in 3 hours... maybe I just click with lace making *laugh* I hear you all about the time thing. I love having something on the pillow just sitting in the corner waiting for me like an old patient friend.

I designed my first pricking this summer and have it almost finished - it's a bunny rabbit. I've got a couple of fun "bookmarks" that the ladies in my guild use to teach. Some torchon and a cute little snake. If anyone wants a copy let me know.

Lily! Your are in the UK. Your best bet would be to contact The Lace Guild and get one of their beginning bobbin lace books. They are very good and well explained and not expensive. Also, they may be able to put you in contact with a teacher in your area.

I had a class of children and we made bobbins out of the sticks for lollipops; thick, but bendable paper and pony beads, size 6. There is a website with the information how to make them, let me see if I can find it.
