Needle tatting vid of the Norwegian Dragons?

its the nose isnt it? my needle tatted noses never look quite the same as Annes. Its that nasty little join right in the middle that drives me crazy. Im sure I have a picture of one on my page somewhere

Oh, I haven't started it yet....it's a tinsy bit intimidating for my newbieness right now. I just thought if there was a video out there it would be easier for me to do along with the video. I want to tat the owl earrings and hopefully will get some time with it tomorrow. It's been a very busy weekend and I haven't been able to do any tatting :( There is a tutorial for the nose that I saw somewhere...I'll hunt it down for you and post it here Green Gal.

Not to many patterns call for the Dimple Ring, but here is a little on how to make Dimple Ring Hearts. I thought this might help in case you ever come across a pattern with dimples in it.

The Dimple is easiest to do in sections. With this one I did for the first half of the Ring Heart 7 ds - 5ds - 3ds Make sure if your making the ring first to put a clip or something in the end so you have that picot to join to.
Slide the first half off, DNT. Make the next half of the Ring 3ds + (join to the other side picot) 5ds - 7ds close shape and join in the bottom picot where clip is, and reverse work.


This is the other half of the heart with the Dimple in the middle to make the top of the heart. Put needle through clip picot and shape, and reverse work.


This is just an example piece for the heart, once closed reverse work and do chain, 6ds - 6ds - 6ds p 6ds Rw and do the next heart the same way. From the Needle tatting proboards http://needletatting.proboards.com/i...play&thread=69

Wendy, its not as bad as you first think. I did this dragon and it was my second thing I had ever needle tatted (not counting the butterfly and round from the learners book)
