    Which shutttles did you get? I bought two for me and they are very nice. Brad emailed me and said he would really appreciate feedback. I'm waiting for Shuttlebirds next month as he is definitely coming as a vender.

    I bought two flat wooden shuttles (not the Lady Hoare style) with inlaid wood. Very pretty and light and smooth.

    I've tried tatting with them--it's okay except the thread tends to come out of the slides! I think it's the style, no fault of the maker. Any tips on using these shuttles without the thread coming loose? I am a "slider" in my tatting style.

    Not sure exactly what shuttle you are talking about, but there's a trick from bobbin lace that involves tying a half hitch in the thread around the bobbin. Would that help?
