Lovely design. I was wondering about the antennae, too. After reading your explanation, I took another look at it and see what you mean.

Absolutely lovely! What is this lovely trim destined to grace? These soft pastels are so pretty, but I can also see it done in bold hues, like a Monarch butterfly. What I don't see it done in is a solid. Now go ahead and prove me wrong!

    Ok Lynn, here it is:

That doesn't mean to say I'll have convinced you but I think it looks nice in a solid colour too. Though in this particular case, I must admit that the pastel variegated is my favourite.

Though now maybe I have to do it again in bold Monarch colours?....

Not sure what I'll do with it. It has remained as is for now until I come up with a bright idea. I do like it a lot though and would like to find an application for it.

This would go perfect in my daughters' room. They have butterflies all over their walls. I could trim the curtains or pillowcases or their little canopies. This would also make a cute border in a picture frame with just a little tweeking to make it go around. Oh, I just love this! Thank you so much for posting!

You're absolutely right, Joëlle. The solid colour is nice. However, the pastel variegated is stunning. Odd isn't it, how colour can dictate what you envision something being used for? The first one puts me in mind of baby bibs and little girls dresses, or a bodice trim on a summer frock. The solid one lends itself more towards towels, pillow cases, or throw pillows. I'm sure others will have their own applications in mind as well. As always, your work is wonderful.

The pastel color makes it look more animated and whimsical. Like flights of fancy. = )

It's lovely to hear everybody's opinions!

Susie, yes, it's the book with the peacock on the cover.

Thanks for the info! I just ordered the "Peacock" book for the peacock pattern, and I am THRILLED this is in it as well. Such a pretty edging!
