Tatting for tiny toes
They're finally done, and just in time for my friend's baby to arrive! The pattern for the baby booties comes from Rebecca Jones The Complete Book of Tatting. I made the picots longer though, so they could be joined more frequently to give the thread more strength. The socks are interchangeable for different outfits. Love that swirly center on the instep. Cute idea to put the sox inside. What a great package; its sure to be treasured.

On the mobile the picture isn't big enough to see the details, but I love the idea and they look beautiful :-)

They are gorgeous! And I love the tiny socks - each time I saw tatted booties I wondered about tiny toes getting tangled, yikes. The sock is a simple and cute solution!

Thank you everyone for such nice comments! I feel like such a slow poke at tatting. It's great to have the support and appreciation along the way and especi.ally when a project gets finished
