    Very pretty! That book has been in my wish list, I think I'm going to have to move it to the top. I like the way you incorporated the beads.

    I'd love to do this for a friend, but she can't wear anything metallic, not even the bits for a clasp. I'd need to design a different closing. I could use a bead and a loop /ring, but I'd worry about all the tugs on the bead causing the thread to break. Other ideas?

    The Curds and Whey has a completely different look without the picots. Very attractive with the large grey beads.

    Have you tried those "rubbery" (silicone maybe?) clasps? My local bead shop has them in sometimes. They are sort of squishy, but they hold their shape. Kind of like those clear but squishy feeling earring backs that you can find at places like Joanns or Michaels. Just a thought.
