I think it's worth getting! I love it, and I've tatted many of the patterns.
It is all diagrams, but it also has some of the loveliest crosses ever. http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/Sear...kmarks&x=0&y=0 at abebooks.com has one for less than $7 with free shipping.
I have it and enjoy it. I haven't actually tatted them up as crosses - I don't use the cross as a religious symbol. I've tatted them up as strait bookmarks or done the X part with equal sides for a kind of square motif. I haven't tatted many of them, but the ones I've done are lovely. I would recommend either of her books.
Okay, the photos are bad - taken on my computer, but these are the patterns inside.

Antiquarian, Thank you, now this is one I, too, must put on my want list. Love all the different styles and I, usually, like diagrams.
I'm a bit confused as to which book this is because the author is listed as Kirsten Wind Hansen on the listing, but the book shows Lene Bjorn on the cover. Are they two different books? I love the pages in the photo (great idea!) but I want to make sure I get the same book. Antiquarian, can you tell us what the ISBN is on the one you have?
I do have the book. I have tatted several just because. I found the diagrams and written text clear to understand. Some of the techniques used were a bit beyond me until very recent, so I'd have to sit down and look over the patterns again thoroughly. What I like the best is the variety of basic elements used in the designs.
